Day 28-My Elbow

The Man in the Mirror Journey
is a journey of walking out of a tomb and recognizing everyday the beauty and significance of how God created us. Instead of rebounding and finding esteem in the arms of someone else, these are the step to seeing it in the arms of God

Day 28
My Elbow

Old reflection
Luke 14:7
[ Invite the Misfits ]
He went on to tell a story to the guests around the table. Noticing how each had tried to elbow into the place of honor, he said, "When someone invites you to dinner, don't take the place of honor. Somebody more important than you might have been invited by the host. Then he'll come and call out in front of everybody, 'You're in the wrong place. The place of honor belongs to this man.' Red-faced, you'll have to make your way to the very last table, the only place left.

New Reflection
Isaiah 54:1
[ Spread Out! Think Big! ]
"Sing, barren woman, who has never had a baby. Fill the air with song, you who've never experienced childbirth! You're ending up with far more children than all those childbearing women." God says so! "Clear lots of ground for your tents! Make your tents large. Spread out! Think big! Use plenty of rope, drive the tent pegs deep. You're going to need lots of ELBOW room for your growing family. You're going to take over whole nations; you're going to resettle abandoned cities. Don't be afraid—you're not going to be embarrassed. Don't hold back—you're not going to come up short. You'll forget all about the humiliations of your youth, and the indignities of being a widow will fade from memory. For your Maker is your bridegroom, his name, God-of-the-Angel-Armies! Your Redeemer is The Holy of Israel, known as God of the whole earth. You were like an abandoned wife, devastated with grief, and God welcomed you back, Like a woman married young and then left," says your God.

Psalm 37:7
Quiet down before God, be prayerful before him. Don't bother with those who climb the ladder, who ELBOW their way to the top.

Prayer!
Lord God my elbows are planted at the table of your righteousness! I need elbow room in your presence so I may Shout the way I want to! So I amy stretch my hands in praise and worship like you deserve! Thank you for elbow room to learn how to be disciplined! You place us in a position to learn and receive favor!

I thank God for the testimony hidden in the chest of Emmitt Smith, Flyod Little, the other guys whose name escapes me for showing me how a champion worships you with there life! I don't take that for granted!

Thank you!
In Jesus name Amen
Sham
